Microsoft Security Specialist / Security Engineer (Perth or Adelaide)

Satalyst is seeking an experienced Microsoft 365 Security Specialist / Azure Security Engineer to join our team of experience and skilled IT professionals.

The Role

A fantastic opportunity for someone with a variety of security skills wanting to fast track their cloud security career.

You will work in a fast-growing team helping customers implement, manage, and monitor their Microsoft security and compliance solutions. You will also be involved in delivering security assessments and environment hardening of Azure and Microsoft 365.

Key Duties of the Role will include:

• Engaging with business leaders to complete assessments of current state security architectures, understanding their business requirements to provide the best solutions to meet future business needs
• Design and implement infrastructure security and Microsoft security solutions for a diverse range of customers and industries
• Configuration, administration, optimisation, and monitoring of Azure and O365 environments
• Keeping up to date with latest technical advances and best practices in Microsoft’s cloud services
• Conduct onsite advisory sessions and workshops with clients when required

What We Want

Essential

• Strong experience in IT security with a focus on the Microsoft technology stack
• 5 years’ IT industry experience with prior experience working in a Professional Services Organisation
• Solid understanding of security threats, trends and standards
• Experience in designing, implementing, automating and monitoring security solutions
• Experience with Active Directory, security, and identity management
• Experience with Azure automation – PowerShell or ARM templates
• Ability to clearly communicate and provide consultation services to clients, potential clients and business stakeholders
• Ability to prepare quality written correspondence, and internal and external-facing documentation
• Ability to lead successful workshops and drive client meetings
• Undertake and complete Microsoft certification exams

Highly desirable

• Microsoft Certification (MS-500 and/or AZ-500)
• Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security or related discipline
• Technical leadership, mentoring and coaching of team members
• Experience with other Microsoft Online Services such as Office 365, Dynamics 365 and SharePoint
• Exposure to other operating systems is a plus (UNIX/Linux, MAC OS)
• A tertiary qualification and/or industry security certifications
